Rancho La Jolla

Rancho La Jolla is located in Velarde, New Mexico. Farmer Danny Farrar's family has been farming in this fertile valley for generations. Danny grows many varieties of apples, peaches, plums, pears, and cherries in his orchard, as well as dozens of field crops ranging from asparagus to cucumber to squash, specializing in peppers both sweet and spicy. Danny traditionally flood irrigates his orchard with acequia water from the Rio Grande, and uses drip irrigation in his fields to conserve water. He loves feeding his community, and almost exclusively saves his fresh roasted green chile for his neighbors and family members in Velarde.
Rancho La Jolla has been supplying Squash Blossom since our inception in 2015.
